TFW You Sell It Like Serhant

That feeling when you finish filming season 1 of your own show on @bravotv!!!! @sellitlikeserhant is wrapped!!! It will premiere in the Spring and I will share the air date when I have it.

This show is a passion project of mine. A literal dream come true. And it’s AMAZING and I can’t wait for you all to watch it next year.

It’s unlike anything you’ve EVER seen on Bravo ???? I was telling my producer/guru/mentor/bff Danielle King a story during our final interview yesterday and I want to share it with all of you.

When I first came to New York, before I got into real estate, I was incredibly self-conscious and shy.

I was overweight. I had terrible skin. I stared at the ground when walking around so I didn’t have to make eye contact with people. I would tell Friends I was busy just so I didn’t have to go out, or spend money I didn’t have.

Then one day, on top of feeling really bad about myself, and really alone in New York City, I went to the grocery store.

I got a weeks worth of food and put them on the checkout counter, and my credit card was declined. I didn’t have cash or any other cards, and I was in between job payments. It was humiliating, and there was a line of people behind me staring.

So I just said I would come back and I left. I ran actually. And I got on the subway. And I sat there, holding back tears. And instead of feeling bad for myself, I made a decision that day – that no matter what – I was never going to feel that way ever again.

Starting that day, I was going to work my ass off, somehow some way, and I would get myself as far away from the broke and insecure person I was, sitting on that train.

And I made a promise to myself that one day, I wanted to be successful enough to help others, who felt like I did on that train, reach their true potential and see that when there’s a will to succeed, there’s a way out. And that’s this show…with a little of my crazy humor, I’m helping salespeople who are down on their luck and about to be fired, learn the most valuable tool anyone can have: how to sell. Because when you can sell, you can do anything.
