My 2018 New Year’s Resolution
I normally don’t make a New Year’s Resolution. It’s not that I don’t believe in them. I’ve just never really made the time to stop and think. In 2018, my mission is to do just that — stop and think. To truly analyze what I do, how I do it, why I do it, and how I make people feel along the way.
The last part of that sentence is the kicker for me. Every interaction. Every person I meet. Every Instagram post or story. Every tweet. Every email. Every text. Every phone call. LITERALLY EVERYTHING.
I want people to not only understand, but to feel the 4 values I hold so close to me: Taking Initiative, Being Relentlessness, Having Empathy, and RESPECT. And, if people don’t feel those 4 values after any interaction with me, or my team, then I’m not doing my job. AND, I want you to call me out on it.

Too many of us run around day by day, year by year, being “busy.” And, at the end of the day, week, month, and year, we cap it off by saying, “Wow that went fast!”
My resolution for 2018 is to lead with those values, work every single second with a mission, and to NEVER feel as if time went by “too fast.”
